Aizatron is proud to be part of the SingularityU Summit, taking place in South Africa for the second time, this week in Johannesburg.

Aizatron, in collaboration with the Datum & the AC Group, built an African-first smart public transport device. This was built in record time in our Cape Town research & development (R&D) labs.

The device as the ability to :

– provide visual analysis of routes, number of passengers, speed, etc.

– use machine learning to provide deeper insights into routes

– provide automatic recon of tickets sold vs. passengers on the bus

– provide alerts due to overloading

– allow users to use virtual 3D barcodes on their cell phones as their tickets – no physical ticker/card

– use facial recognition to detect criminals/vandals & send immediate notification to authorities

– provide a consumer app to track the bus in real-time/buy tickets & provide timetables.

Aizatron believes that the 4th Industrial Revolution provides Africa with a great opportunity to leapfrog legacy solutions & use the latest technologies, to build future-proof solutions driven by smart devices & customisable open software.
